3 years ago, I saw what I believe to be a jaguarundi in the Sierra Ancha mountains of Arizona. Very likely location for a jaguarundi and the color is right. Not quite sure what you saw as jaguarundi have very skinny tails, but maybe he was warning you off! No other wildcat fits the description of what I saw other than the Jaguarundi, yet its range supposedly doesnt extend north beyond Mexico.
